Welcome to the Northern Ireland section of the Investing in Volunteers website.

The Volunteer Development Agency is delighted to be the host organisation for the Investing in Volunteers standard in Northern Ireland.
As the Investing in Volunteers host organisation we will provide you with a contact point for information regarding Investing in Volunteers. If your organisation decides to register to work towards the Investing in Volunteers Standard and be assessed against the Indicators it will be provided with:
- Introductory workshop to help explain the accreditation process and the Standard and begin the self assessment process;
- An Advisor to assist you with the development work required to reach the Standard;
- Access to training and good practice advice/resources;
- A trained local Assessor.
The Volunteer Development Agency is the lead agency for the support, development and promotion of volunteering in Northern Ireland. Investing in Volunteers is a welcome addition to the work we do, complimenting our goal to implement good practice in volunteer management.
Please read the detailed information on Investing in Volunteers in Northern Ireland on this site.
If your organisation has read all the materials and advice included in this website, and is interested in gaining accreditation then register to start the process.
Upon "Registration of Interest" an organisation is asked to complete a Questions & Answer document which provides all the necessary background information to assist us in determining the number of Assessor days and cost involved.
Only once an organisation has agreed cost, will contracts be processed and the process formally start.
"Registering Interest" on the website is in no way binding. It only provides us with an organisations' contact details and enable us to email the Q&A document.
