Any organisation can download a full copy of the Investing in Volunteers standard, including the indicators and suggested evidence required, from the home page of this website. The password protected area of the IiV site, which can be accessed by registered organisations, includes a Good Practice Guide.

The Central Registered Body in Scotland (CRBS) was established by the Scottish Executive to provide free Disclosures (police checks) for volunteers in the voluntary sector working with children, young people and vulnerable adults at risk. The CRBS, based in Stirling, is a service operated by Volunteer Development Scotland. There are a number of websites which focus on good practice in volunteering. Susan Ellis's website, www.energizeinc.com is one such site. The bookshop has a wide variety of books to purchase, in print or electronically, as well as some material free to download.

There is a great deal of useful information on the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisation's [SCVO] website www.scvo.org.uk

The Good Practice Bank on Volunteering England's website, www.volunteering.org.uk/managingvolunteers/goodpracticebank also has lots of relevant information although some may be specific to volunteer involving organisations in England.
