Subsidy scheme for environmental volunteering organisations in Scotland.

Volunteer Development Scotland [VDS] will launch a subsidy scheme for environmental volunteering organisations in October 2007. The programme will run for 3 years.

The Investing in Volunteers subsidy scheme is funded by the Scottish Government, through the Forum of Environmental Volunteering Associations [FEVA], and administered by Volunteer Development Scotland.

Applications are encouraged from organisations in Scotland wishing to use the IiV process to develop and improve their practice in involving volunteers.

Applications will be considered, at the appropriate level, from local and national organisations. Organisations must be able to commit the time and resources needed to complete the assessment for the IiV award within about 12 months.

Visit the VDS website for full details, and an application form. www.vds.org.uk
