First NHS Trusts achieve Investing in Volunteers Award

Three NHS Trusts from the Eastern Region have achieved the prestigious Investing in Volunteers award. Norwich and Norfolk University Hospital Trust, Kings Lynn & Wisbech and Fenland PCT, and Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge all obtained the quality standard and will be presented with their awards on April 8th at an event hosted by Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge Strategic Health Authority who funded the process. All three Trusts were supported by their local Volunteer Development Agencies and are delighted that working towards the Standard has helped raise the profile of volunteering and recognised the enormous contribution and value that volunteers make within their organisations.
