Name of organisation
Belfast Central Mission (BCM)
Why did you decide to go for Investing In Volunteers?
BCM has had a volunteer programme for over one hundred years. We thought the charter mark would compliment our well structured programme.
What benefits have you found from working towards Investing In Volunteers?
BCM was able to review and tighten up volunteer policies and procedures. We were able to introduce risk assessments and be made more aware of diversity within volunteering.
Tell us about your experience of the assessment process in your organisation.
It was a very worthwhile experience which helped BCM to identify gaps, implement good practice and raise the profile of our much valued volunteers.
