Why did you decide to go for Investing in Volunteers?

We had completed PQASSO Level 1 quality assurance programme during 2006 and Investing in Volunteers seemed a good follow up, as we are an organisation that consists entirely of volunteers.

What benefits have you found from working towards Investing in Volunteers?

It has helped us to clarify our volunteer policy and to look at and improve our procedures where necessary.

Tell us about your experience of the assessment process in your organisation.

It has been an enjoyable working process, from the first meeting with the Assessor, to looking at our volunteer procedures and taking steps to improve, collecting the relevant evidence, through to the assessment interviews of six of us with the Assessor.
