| We have brought the different teams together and ensured that all volunteers are being treated the same. |
| How did the assessment work in your organisation? |
| We had been asked to assess ourselves at the beginning of the process against the criteria. Once we completed this we worked on a plan to ensure that we had all the relevant evidence. An assessor came in and met with our co-ordinator and volunteers and asked about the areas we had highlighted in the self assessment. |
| 5 Practical tips you would give another organisation working towards Investing in Volunteers |
| Give yourselves a realistic time frame. Ensure you are doing it for the right reasons. Allocate sufficient resources. Ensure the staff team are on board and understand. Be prepared to challenge assumptions and traditions. |
