Why did you decide to go for Investing in Volunteers?

We felt we had a lot of good practices in place and our volunteers said they would be happier to work in an organisation that had the award rather than one that didn't.

What benefits have you found from working towards Investing in Volunteers?

It helped us to see how well we were doing and the good practices we had in place. Our volunteers were very pleased to be involved in the process and felt that their views were valued more.

Tell us about your experience of the assessment process in your organisation.

I found it very long and as we were going through a period of change in our organisation as a whole, it was not as easy as I had hoped it would be.
