The trustees and staff who work with volunteers have come together as a team.

Across the organisation we now have agreed systems in place to recruit, train and support volunteers.

It was good. Those who were interviewed treated it as an opportunity to say positive things about the charity which felt encouraging. Kay helped people to relax during the interviews.

  • Listen to and take the advise of your assessor
  • Involve everyone at an early stage
  • This includes trustees who may not consider themselves to be volunteers
  • You could be surprised by what you already have in place
  • Think positively
