What have been the overall benefits of achieving/renewing the IiV accreditation?
It has helped us to review our volunteer policies and procedures and involve our volunteers in the process as well. We feel that it is important recognition of the fantastic work that our volunteers do for the organisation. It demonstrates to other organisations and external funders that Carers Leeds has achieved a quality standard in volunteering.
Please provide a quote that sums up the IiV experience for your organisation
I found the Investing in Volunteers experience to be both positive and motivating. Giving us that opportunity to focus on our practice helped us reflect and improve on how our volunteers and Carers Leeds work together. I think we are a better organisation for it.
