Why did you decide to go for Investing in Volunteers?

As a means of evaluating and improving the interaction with/support to our volunteers but also as a means of recognising good practice in these.

What benefits have you found from working towards Investing in Volunteers?

We identified areas in which we could improve the support to our volunteers and have introduced these. It also helped us to acknowledge more explicitly some good practice that we were already operating

Tell us about your experience of the assessment process in your organisation.

The diverse nature of our organisation made it difficult to arrange meetings for our volunteers with the assessor but in general the process was a positive one. Encouraging staff to think more explicitly and more generally about their role in relation to volunteers.
