What have been the overall benefits of achieving/renewing the IiV accreditation?
As the process of volunteer recruitment, training and retention is on-going and a busy job, it is helpful to have criteria on which to benchmark our current practices. It is easy to feel as if you are not doing a great job, but actually with an opportunity to stand back and reflect, it becomes clear that we are dong okay. It also reminds others within the organisation that volunteer recruitment and management requires significant work.
Please provide a quote that sums up the IiV experience for your organisation
As an organisation who has achieved Matrix and PQASSO I was worried about the process and assessment for IiV. There was no need as it was straightforward with plenty of support and guidance available along the way. Our assessor was a warm, friendly and approachable lady who was a pleasure to work with and put everyone at ease.
