What have been the overall benefits of achieving/renewing the IiV accreditation?
The Investing in Volunteers award is a fantastic outcome for CARCT as it demonstrates that our organisation is committed to ensuring that we offer and continue to develop an environment that supports and attracts volunteers. The award has been a great opportunity for staff and volunteers to work together on a piece of work and we look forward to celebrating the success with our whole team. We hope to use the award to attract more volunteers in to the service and also to help us to develop a volunteer strategy.

Rocky at times, but very worthwhile.
What tips would you give to other organisations working towards Investing in Volunteers?
1. Be patient when making changes to allow those affected to respond.
2. Share existing policies with those who they affect and ask for feedback.
3.See how other organisations work to help make your own improvements.
4.Be prepared to challenge what is already working as well as what isn't.
