The efforts of county volunteers and those that work with them have been recognised with a national award.
Lincolnshire County Council’s Economy and Culture team has been awarded the Investing in Volunteers quality standard.
The award is given to organisations that encourage volunteers to get involved and help them make the most of their experience.
Executive member for economic development and culture Coun Eddy Poll said: “Volunteers play an important role in supporting our heritage attractions and libraries.
“This award is an opportunity to thank them and the staff who work with them for all their efforts over the years.
“Volunteering is a chance to meet new friends, gain work experience and benefit your local community.
“We’re always keen to hear from new people that want to get involved.”
